George Massenburg Launches Massenburg DesignWorks

First Product is Digital Parametric EQ Plug-In for Sony Oxford, Mackie Designs, and Sonic Solutions

NYC, September 24, AES ’99 - George Massenburg has announced the formation of a new company:
Massenburg DesignWorks®, LLC. The new electronic design group is headed by award-winning engineer
George Massenburg. The organization provides software and hardware tools for GML and other
companies, bringing sophisticated audio technology previously restricted to only the very high-end of
the audio industry.

The first product from Massenburg DesignWorks is the new 2x2 High-Resolution Parametric Equalizer.
Designed by the engineer who invented the parametric equalizer, the 2x2 Hi-Resolution Parametric
Equalizer is a Multiple-Sample Rate plug-in which runs on the effects board of various manufacturers’
products. The Mackie D8B digital console, Sonic Solutions Sonic Studio HD, and the Sony Oxford
digital console are the first products using this proprietary digital technology developed by Massenburg
Designworks, LLC. The 2x2 complements the excellent analog electronics of the George Massenburg
Labs product line for unprecedented clarity and response with superlative smoothness in the high frequency
audio spectrum.

Multiple Grammy and TEC Award-winner George Massenburg is an internationally renowned producer,
recording engineer and designer of audio equipment - a man in love with music, the art of reproduction
and the recording process. In a career spanning over 30 years, he has worked with such artists as
